Our mission is to advance healthcare through investigating mineralization mechanisms in our bodies in health and disease, using advanced imaging techniques, including correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM). These mineralization mechanisms are important for processes such as bone formation or vascular calcification. We believe that only through understanding the molecular mechanisms of diseases, we can reach the next level of healthcare: aiming at prevention rather intervention.
